YOU WAN T TO SEND YOUR CHILD TO CAMP
Our mission through our summer program is to provide keiki with an awesome camp experience. Camp Homelani provides a well-rounded Christian program with lots of activities and fun.
If you would like to send your child to camp, please contact us for application and medical forms. The rate depends on the camp session but starts at $125 per week; scholarships are available.
THE PROGRAMS
FUN IN THE SUN:
Campers can expect to participate in many fun and recreational activities. Swimming, field games, basketball, and volleyball to name a few. Additionally, campers will have the opportunity to make crafts to take home at the end of the camp session.
CLUB BIBLE:
Each morning the entire camp gathers under our big tent for a fun, Sunday School type Bible time. Here we sing songs, learn memory verses, play some games, see some skits and learn about God and His goodness to us all. Each evening the campers will learn more about the Bible and God in their evening devotions with their counselor.
HOMELANI KINE GRINDS:
Camp Homelani’s food is onolicious! Campers will receive three complete meals a day served in a family style setting, which encourages sharing, and fellowship around the table. Food is prepared following strict sanitation and Summer Food Service Program guidelines. Oh yeah, did we say that the food is excellent!!!
JESUS WALK:
Our annual Jesus Walk production is the life of Jesus told in a dramatic format on stage. The show is entirely different each year and rests in the talents of the summer team. The staff is divided into four groups and each group is given a period of Jesus’ life to portray. His Birth, His Teachings, His Death and His Resurrection. We tie each of the sections together with music and video presentations and it makes for a powerful production.
CAMPFIRES:
What would summer camp be without campfires? Each evening the Program Team puts together a campfire/evening program that is bound to bring a smile to everyone’s face. This is where we sing silly songs, play crazy games and skits. Some of the themes include… Nerd Nite, Western Nite, Game Show Nite, Talent Nite, etc. all evening programs end with a devotional thought.
ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES:
Campers also participate in other activities such as electives where they get to learn and perform drama, hula, cheerleading or participate in teambuilding activities. There are also activities that are done as a cabin group. Discovering God’s World is a time where campers get to learn about environmental topics and God’s beauty in the land.
